The Yellow Hornbill

The Yellow Hornbill is a semi-luxury accommodation located in the exclusive Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, which is approximately 40 minutes away from the Kruger National Park. It offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and do day trips to the Kruger Park and surrounding areas.

The accommodation is a three-bedroom unit with two bedrooms downstairs and the third bedroom located in the loft. All bedrooms share one full bathroom, which includes a shower, toilet, basins, and a bath. The unit is fully equipped with a fitted kitchen, washing machine, full DSTV satellite channels, and a splash pool.

The loft room is only accessible from the outside of the lodge but has an open plan area to communicate with guests in the open plan living area. If children are sleeping in the loft room, they will be able to call out should any issues arise.

Each room in the Yellow Hornbill offers bush views, and the accommodation provides guests with a comfortable and stylish experience. The downstairs patio features a braai area with a fire pit that overlooks the swimming pool and surrounding bush life. It is not uncommon for local impala and kudu to visit and graze on the lawn.

The Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is situated along the edge of Hoedspruit, a small and quaint town that offers endless views of the Drakensberg mountain escarpment. Despite its small size, the town has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable life in the bush, including a Spar and Pick 'n Pay, as well as great restaurants within a few minutes' drive.
