Thirsty Falls Nature Retreat

Deep in the heart of the Magaliesberg Mountains, Thirsty Falls Nature Retreat is situated amidst the rugged splendor of the African bush and cliffs. It offers spectacular views and absolute privacy in a tranquil environment. The retreat features five self-catering cottages that are fully equipped and consist of either one, two, or three bedrooms, as well as two studios (Holiday Flats).

Guests can relax at the Eco natural water swimming pool, sip sundowners on the shady patios surrounded by indigenous terrain, and enjoy watching abundant bird life and breathtaking sunsets. The star-filled night skies are an unforgettable sight, accompanied by the call of the wild. For chillier winter evenings, there is a lovely log fireplace and gas heaters in the studios. Each patio has a braai facility.

Thirsty Falls Nature Retreat is located on a farm on the R24, just 25 km north-west of Magaliesburg and 35 km south-east of Rustenburg. It is a one and a half to two-hour drive from Johannesburg/Pretoria and half an hour from Rustenburg. The retreat is suitable for anyone seeking a weekend or midweek getaway for rest and relaxation in the natural bush surrounds of the ancient Magaliesberg mountain range.

A Travelling Therapist is available to provide massage treatments, and booking is essential. A Holistic Wellness Specialist is also available. The self-catering, fully equipped houses are ideal for romantic getaways, offering privacy and panoramic views in a wonderful space for couples to connect. The open-plan living areas feature king-size beds (with the option of twin beds), bathrooms with bathtubs and showers, and fully equipped kitchens with two-plate gas hobs but no ovens. Each unit also has a heater and a braai facility on the patio.
