The Tower of Pizza Lodge is situated on a working grain farm in the Amphitheatre valley in the Northern Drakensberg, just 9 km from the Royal Natal National Park. It originated from an unused grain silo, which was transformed into a pizzeria with the addition of a traditional wood burning pizza oven. The Tower of Pizza quickly became a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike, establishing itself as a landmark in the area. It is also utilized as a halfway meeting point for travelers between Durban and Johannesburg.

The accommodation at the Tower of Pizza Lodge has been rated 3 Stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa, offering comfortable, free-standing cottages or rondavels, all equipped with en-suite bathrooms. Guests can enjoy the tranquil setting and company while dining at the Tower of Pizza Restaurant, which serves a menu including pizzas, pasta, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and seasonal specials.

The farm and its vicinity offer a range of activities such as hiking, fishing, horse riding, birding, tubing, abseiling, rap jumping, golf, mountain biking, 4X4 trails, and tours to the hydro-electrical scheme. Visitors can also explore the nearby adventure centre, which offers paintball, swinging trapeze, zip lines, and quad biking.

The accommodation includes one bedroom units that can accommodate four people, with one double bed and two single beds. The rondavels are free-standing units with en-suite bathrooms, serviced daily, and equipped with bath towels and tea and coffee making facilities.
