Train Lodge

Train Lodge is a unique accommodation situated in Cape Town, offering affordable lodging in ten vintage railway coaches. The coaches are original and have been fully renovated to ensure a comfortable stay for guests. Train Lodge is conveniently located in close proximity to Cape Town station, including the My Citi bus terminal and the national touring bus terminal.

The accommodation at Train Lodge consists of two- and four-berth compartments, where guests can choose between single or double bed cabins. The bathroom facilities are separate from the coaches but have been designed to be easily accessible and private. Train Lodge features a locomotive bar, a cocktail lounge area equipped with flat-screen TVs with DStv, a swimming pool, and a braai area. One of the coaches houses a restaurant where guests can savor delicious dishes from the a la carte menu.

Train Lodge takes pride in its cigar lounge, a popular venue for parties and functions. It is open to the public from 10 am until late at night. The lounge offers comfortable couches, a fireplace, and a cozy and relaxed ambiance, where guests can enjoy major sport events screened on site. The swimming pool area features bar facilities serving sundowners and can accommodate groups of up to 65 people. Train Lodge offers assistance in arranging tours, transfers, transport bookings, and travel advice.

Train Lodge offers four single bedded rooms, with full bathrooms located outside the coaches. Additionally, there is a communal lounge and dining area for guests' convenience.
