Tshikwalo Lodge is situated inside the Dinokeng Game Reserve, which is the first free-roaming Big 5 residential game reserve in Gauteng. The lodge offers self-catering, bed and breakfast (B&B), and dinner, bed and breakfast (DB&B) chalets. It has one two-bedroom family chalet with a private boma area, five two-sleeper self-catering standard chalets, and three spacious open-plan luxury self-catering chalets with a built-in braai on the patio.

There are ten B&B chalets with a bar fridge and a coffee station refilled daily during the guest's stay. All meals for the B&B guests are served in the restaurant. The Tshikwalo Restaurant serves an a la carte menu and is open from 08:00 to 21:30, Tuesday to Sunday. On Mondays, it serves only in-house guests from their chalets or rooms.

For group bookings, Tshikwalo has a 20-sleeper guest house located 400m away from the main lodge, providing an exclusive stay with a large pool for hot and sunny days, a sitting lounge with comfortable couches and tables, and a boma area where guests can prepare their own boma dinner and make a bonfire if they choose to go fully self-catering or have the lodge cater for them from the events kitchen.

The lodge offers activities for both in-house and outside guests, including 2.5-3 hour game drives, bush picnics, and romantic bush dinners under the stars. Pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Tshikwalo Lodge also provides conference facilities, accommodating 30 delegates in a U-shape layout and 50 delegates in a school room layout, with midweek conference packages available.

The guest house offers its own private conference facility, ideal for corporate events that stretch over two or more days. The lodge also has a new addition of a wedding venue with a modern chapel and a luxurious honeymoon suite. Site visits can be arranged directly with the lodge.

Tshikwalo Lodge can arrange game drives through the Dinokeng Game Reserve, the only big five game reserve in close proximity to the Gauteng metros. The chalets are private, and the patios allow for romantic dinners under the stars. The chalet consists of three king-size bedrooms, an open-plan loft with four single beds, a main bedroom with an outside shower, and two rooms sharing a bathroom, as well as a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with an outside dining table and boma area.
