Tussen-I-Bome Oxwagon Resort

The Tussen-I-Bome Oxwagon Resort is a rustic resort and venue situated in the malaria-free Bobbejaansberg Mountains, approximately 26 kilometers or 30 minutes away from Montana, Pretoria, on the KwaMahlango/Moloto road. It caters to various functions such as weddings, conferences, year-end events, birthday parties, family reunions, and bachelor parties.

The resort's Bushveld surroundings and ox-wagon theme aim to provide a relaxing outdoor experience for individuals, wedding guests, and corporate clients. Guests can enjoy unspoiled nature and the opportunity to refresh their minds and spirits. Situated on a Bushveld farm, the venues and accommodations are located among an indigenous canopy of trees, hence the name "Tussen-I-Bome," which is Afrikaans for "Amongst the trees."

The resort features two swimming pools: a rock pool on a hillside with a balcony overlooking the valley, perfect for enjoying a sundowner, and another pool near the Big Tent and Wagon Tent venue and bar area, ideal for summer fun. Impalas, zebras, and an abundance of birdlife offer guests an unspoiled tranquility of nature, allowing for leisure exploration. There are hiking trails for adventurists and a short mountain bike track on the property.

Tussen-I-Bome Oxwagon Resort offers a rustic and unique venue for weddings, catering for up to 120 people. The Wagon Tent Venue, styled like a big ox-wagon at the foot of a hill, is often transformed into a chapel for wedding ceremonies. The Bush Lapa, a brick, wood, and canvas thatch structure a "Hunters' den," features three bedrooms with double beds and bunk beds, three double bunks in the living room, two showers, two toilets, and two wash basins, accommodating up to 16 guests. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious braai boma that must be seen to be appreciated. A R50 levy is added to the rate for one-night weekend bookings.
