Umbabala Bush Camp is located on a 200-hectare private game farm, 40 kilometers from Rustenburg on the N4. The reserve is home to a diverse range of wildlife and rare flora species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers with over 60 recorded species. The thatched en-suite chalets are equipped with patios and braai facilities, overlooking the natural bushveld vegetation. A larger unit can accommodate two families sharing. Off-road caravans and tents are also welcome.

The chalets have an open-plan layout, featuring one double bed and two single beds, a kitchen, and a dining area. Guests are advised to bring their own camping chairs. Early morning bush walks and beautiful sunset views from the lookout point are available for visitors to enjoy. The knowledgeable hosts guide the relaxed bush walks, pointing out flora and animal tracks. Additionally, 4x4 enthusiasts can take advantage of the obstacle course.

Guests can indulge in a braai or prepare a Potjie at the open-air lapa under the starry night sky. It is recommended to bring personal bedding, towels, firewood, insect repellent, sunscreen lotion, hiking shoes, and a backpack for carrying water and other essentials, as there is no kiosk on-site. Umbabala Bush Camp offers a self-sufficient and informal camping experience in the bush, without fences.
