Umkhumbi Lodge

Umkhumbi Lodge is situated within Kuleni Game Park, a small private reserve near the town of Hluhluwe and in proximity to Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. It is located in the sand-forest and offers spacious accommodation in comfortable air-conditioned rooms. The lodge has rooms with either two single beds or one kingsize bed, and all bedrooms feature an en-suite bathroom with both a bath and shower. Family chalets have two bedrooms with an inter-leading door, accommodating a family of four, with the option to add a fifth bed or cot upon request.

All rooms are equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a private veranda, and air conditioning. The lodge features a tree-top bar with great sunset views and an on-site restaurant. In-room treatments by a local masseuse are offered, and guests can enjoy fantastic guided or self-guided trails within the private game reserve, providing excellent wildlife sightings, birdlife, and photographic opportunities. Mountain biking is also permitted within the premises.

The lodge caters to families with family rooms, an outdoor children's play area, an indoor drawing/games table, and plenty of games to play. It runs a special nature kids program aimed at children between the ages of four and twelve, and offers free fun educational night walks.
