Umkumbe Bush Lodge Luxury Tented Camp

The Umkumbe Bush Lodge is a luxury tented camp located in the southern part of the Sabi Sand wildtuin, which is part of the Sabie Game Reserve in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It offers guests an authentic African safari experience through its exclusive tented lodge located among indigenous trees, allowing them to sleep safely among the wildlife.

The lodge features four standard tents and one luxury tent, where guests can enjoy an early morning coffee on private decks while experiencing the first rays of sunlight filtering through the thorn tree leaves. Visitors can also unwind on the elevated treehouse deck overlooking the bush veld planes and observe wildlife drinking from nearby waterholes.

For those sunny South African days, the lodge provides a swimming pool, a bar, and a poolside area for reading books. Friendly guides offer game drives and bush walks, allowing thrilling close encounters with wildlife, including the Big Five, as well as an opportunity to appreciate the diverse flora and birdlife. The lodge also organizes special African moments, such as sundowners and snacks in the open, followed by a bonfire night under the stars in the spacious boma.

The Umkumbe Bush Lodge welcomes guests from around the globe and can accommodate families of up to 10 people, with children under 12 receiving a discounted rate. It caters to outdoor enthusiasts, wildlife and birding enthusiasts, and photographers. Two game drives are included in the rate, conducted in open-air safari vehicles.

The stylish and spacious tented suites are positioned on private raised wooden decks, located in nature. Each suite features a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The lodge can accommodate a maximum of two guests per suite.
