Umsisi Cottage

Umsisi Cottage offers upmarket self-catering accommodation for those seeking convenient access to Kruger National Park without staying within the park itself. The cottage is situated on the grounds of Umsisi House in Peebles Valley, close to White River in Mpumalanga. It is a 40-minute drive from Paul Kruger Gate, a 30-minute drive from Phabeni Gate, and a 20-minute drive from Numbi Gate.

The cottage is exceptionally private, with its own entrance, covered veranda offering breathtaking views, TV with local channels, functional kitchen, braai, and parking. It features two bedrooms and one double shower room. Accommodation options include a double room and a twin room with two single beds, or a double room and a king room. Guests are requested to notify their requirements in advance. A travel cot and high chair are available upon request.

To address power outages, the cottage has a gas oven, hob, and kettle, a Webber braai, gas geysers for hot water, and a battery backup/inverter system that ensures lighting, WiFi, DSTV, and plugs remain operational during Stage 4 load shedding when used wisely.

Umsisi Cottage offers unbeatable access to Kruger National Park without requiring guests to stay within the park itself. The cottage is based on the grounds of Umsisi House and is only a 20-minute drive from the Numbi Gate entrance to the park. The Kruger Lowveld region features some of the finest golf courses in the southern hemisphere, with five courses within easy driving distance of Umsisi House.

A minimum cottage rate applies for 2 guests, and a minimum stay of 2 nights is required if the booking includes a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night. Cottage guests do not have access to the swimming pool and grounds at Umsisi House.
