Umthiba

Umthiba is a private lodge situated in the heart of Kuleni Game Park, a natural sand forest adjacent to the Phinda Game Reserve and in close proximity to the St Lucia World Heritage Site. The park is home to various wildlife species, including wildebeest, giraffe, warthog, zebra, and a large variety of antelope. Additionally, with an abundance of bird life, the park is considered a birdwatcher's paradise.

The comfortable lodge offers visitors the opportunity to experience nature and wildlife in an unspoiled setting, either from the deck chair on the verandah or while exploring the numerous nature trails that traverse the diverse indigenous bush and grasslands within the park. Umthiba is fully equipped for self-catering and is suitable for couples as well as groups of family and friends.

The main lodge comprises three rooms, two of which are ensuite, while the third room shares a guest bathroom. It features an open-plan lounge, dining area, and kitchen leading onto a large wrap-around verandah. Additionally, a self-contained double bed cottage with a kitchenette is situated off the boma area.
