Umvangazi Rest

Umvangazi Rest is a self-catering accommodation situated in Marloth Park, a nature conservancy bordering the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park. The property is surrounded by the bushveld where various animal species, including warthogs, various buck species, monkeys, baboons, zebras, and giraffes, roam freely. From viewing points, guests can overlook the Kruger National Park and spot different animal species. The Crocodile River is home to hippos and crocodiles. Visitors also have the option to visit Lionspruit Private Game Reserve, which is located within Marloth Park.

Umvangazi Rest offers a relaxing, rejuvenating, and peaceful setting in the bushveld. The accommodation is a self-catering house with an open plan kitchen and lounge area that leads out onto a patio. Guests can enjoy a braai/barbeque, have a bonfire in the boma, or take a swim in the splash pool while relaxing outside. Upstairs, there is a deck where visitors can relax and keep an eye out for animals coming to drink at the nearby water holes.

The house can accommodate up to eight people, and the kitchen is fully equipped. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, each with a double bed. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The loft bedroom is located upstairs and is open plan with a double bed and two single beds. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. The loft area and the second bedroom share a bathroom with a shower.

Guests can plan day trips to the Kruger National Park, with the Malelane or Crocodile Bridge gates being in close proximity. They can also visit neighboring countries like Mozambique and Swaziland by bringing their passports. Sundowners or picnics can be enjoyed at one of the lookout points along the banks of the Crocodile River. For golf enthusiasts, there is a golf course in Komatipoort. A shopping center is located within Marloth Park, offering essentials such as a garage, restaurant, deli, bottle store, laundry, hardware, bakery, and butchery. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner can be enjoyed at one of the lodges in Marloth Park and Komatipoort. Spa services are also available in Marloth Park. Self-drive safaris can be enjoyed within Marloth Park.

Umvangazi Rest is designed to provide privacy with views of the bushveld, making it suitable for romantic getaways. It is also perfect for family holidays, as children of all ages are welcome. Many animals visit the house, and pellets can be obtained at the local stores within Marloth Park.
