Under Milkwood

Under Milkwood is a collection of 16 self-catering timber chalets located on the tidal shores of the famous Knysna Lagoon. The chalets are located amongst leafy vegetation and indigenous Milkwood trees. It is the only resort at the world-renowned Knysna Heads to have direct access to the beach.

The tranquil resort offers guests a haven of leisure and comfort, as well as wonderful views of the lagoon with the Outeniqua Mountains in the background. Each chalet has two bedrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen with modern conveniences such as a microwave, fridge, freezer, stove, TV, and luxury Le Creuset cookware. Additionally, each chalet has its own sundeck and barbecue facilities.

The resort's beach offers safe swimming and watersports in the protected bay, with SUPs and kayaks provided. Guests can enjoy hiking trails, birdwatching, and fishing close by, as well as many other attractions offered in Knysna.

Under Milkwood offers a Knysna Honeymoon Package with a rate from R2999 for two people for two nights' accommodation. The Romance Value Add includes a bottle of sparkling wine, flower bouquet, couples massage, and a sun downer cruise.

Beach equipment is provided for games and enjoyment of the whole family, as well as buckets and spades for smaller members. Board games and a library of DVDs are available for quieter moments. Baby-sitting services are also available.

Under Milkwood is one of the few properties in the area with direct beach access. The lagoon's calm and shallow shores allow safe swimming and endless opportunities for water sports. Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards are available on the beach. Curlew is a one-bedroom, split-level chalet with an upstairs living area and a bathroom downstairs. It has a magnificent view of the lagoon and can only accommodate two adults. No kids are allowed in Curlew.
