Underhill Farm, located in Vyeboom, South Africa, is an eco-friendly guest farm situated on the banks of the Botrivier in the heart of the Overberg. The establishment offers 100% upcycled, off-the-grid accommodation with a distinctive Tolkien-inspired theme throughout its properties.

The farm features four unique cottages, each designed with sustainability in mind. Hobbit Hollow, built into the riverbank, sleeps four guests and includes an indoor fireplace, private stream access, and a deck with a splash pool nestled among the trees. Oak Cottage, a tree house-inspired accommodation sleeping three, offers river views from the bedroom, a deck in the trees, an indoor fireplace, and a splash pool.

The Earthship, the farm's largest and newest addition, accommodates up to six guests and provides views of the Franschhoek Valley, complete with a private fire pit, natural pool, and pizza oven. Rivendell sleeps up to four guests and features a hot tub, indoor fireplace, covered braai area with pizza oven, and a splash pool that connects to a private fire pit along the riverbank.

All accommodations are pet-friendly and fully enclosed, allowing guests to bring their four-legged companions while ensuring their safety. The property is particularly popular with artists, who find inspiration in the natural surroundings and often leave their creative marks.
