Vaal Marina Resort

Vaal Marina Resort is a self-catering dam front resort situated on the shores of the Vaal Dam in Gauteng. The resort encompasses 26 hectares of scenic parklands, including a 350-meter waterfront, a swimming pool, a children's swimming pool, a children's playground, a slipway, a jetty, fishing areas, water sports facilities, braai and picnic areas, and more.

The chalets at the resort are equipped with a living area, a flat-screen TV with open-view satellite channels, a kitchen, a private bathroom with a hairdryer and a shower, a patio with outdoor furniture, and built-in braais. Day visitors are welcome to enjoy the resort facilities, picnic areas, waterfront, and other common areas. Communal bathrooms are also available for day visitors.

The main activities at the Vaal Dam revolve around various water sports, such as skiing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, rowing, yachting, windsurfing, white water rafting, tubing, and canoeing. The dam is suitable for speed boating, and visitors can opt to relax and float around on a lilo, take a swim, or enjoy drinks on a boat cruise. For fishing enthusiasts, the dam offers quiet and secluded spots perfect for an afternoon of fishing. Land-based activities are also available.

Visitors can take a relaxed cycle along one of the many tracks surrounding the dam or engage in mountain biking on designated paths. Adventure activities like rock climbing, which provides spectacular views of the dam, and paintball are also available, offering fun for the whole family.

The resort features a unique villa with five spacious bedrooms featuring king/queen/single beds, four bathrooms with shower/bath, a comfortable open-plan lounge, dining area, and kitchenette. The villa also includes a patio with a braai area, a breathtaking view of the dam, and a private hot tub.
