The Vhembe Wilderness Camp is located in the eastern section of Mapungubwe National Park. It has been built on a small ridge within a valley, within walking distance of the Limpopo River and Mapungubwe Hill. The camp offers four units, each providing two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. The camp operates on solar-generated electricity, and no plug points are available in the units.

The camp features a central, fully-equipped communal kitchen and lapa shared by all four units. Guests can book various activities at the camp, including daily guided morning walks, night drives, visits to rock art sites, the Mapungubwe Heritage Site, dinosaur footprints, and the largest baobab tree in the area. Specialized walks, such as bird viewing, are also available.

It is important to note that the rates for staying at Vhembe Wilderness Camp are subject to the number of adults and children in the group. Quotes for accommodation will include the 1% Community Levy, but exclude daily conservation fees, which must be paid directly to the camp upon arrival.
