View Lodge Gariep Dam

View Lodge is a self-catering accommodation facility located near the Gariep Dam, approximately 5 kilometers off the N1 highway, in South Africa. It offers sweeping views of the Gariep Dam, which is the largest man-made dam in the country. The lodge provides travelers with a choice of six self-catering units, and guests have the option of ordering meals.

The units are furnished with either double or single beds, and the bathrooms are equipped with a shower or bathtub. Each unit features a private balcony that overlooks the Gariep Dam. Three of the units also include a Weber barbecue, and all units have tea and coffee-making facilities. Every unit is equipped with a TV that provides access to guest bouquet TV channels, as well as air conditioning units.

Communal barbecue facilities are available on the deck, and guests can enjoy the sparkling pool or have a drink at the private licensed bar, which is suitable for private functions, birthdays, and family gatherings. The area offers a range of activities, including 4x4 tracking, river rafting, sunset cruises on the dam, horse riding, fishing, and hiking around the dam wall. Guests can also take an inside tour of the Gariep Dam wall.

View Lodge is presented as a modern and spacious accommodation option, ideal for family getaways, business travelers, or overnight guests seeking tranquility and peace of mind. Credit card facilities are available, and breakfast is not included but can be discussed and paid for upon arrival. One of the units features a queen-size bed, an electric blanket, air conditioning, a safe for small valuables, a bar-size fridge, a microwave, a separate bathroom with a shower, and a TV with a guesthouse bouquet, opening onto a garden area with a view of the dam.
