Vleidam Guest Farm

Vleidam Guest Farm is situated in the heart of the Swartland region, in the town of Koringberg. The farm offers a peaceful country getaway with panoramic views of the fertile farmlands. It provides a typical working farm environment with abundant animal and birdlife for guests to enjoy.

The farm features a picturesque mountain, locally known as a "koppie," which is suitable for hiking, trail running, cycling, and 4x4 trailing, offering spectacular lookout points. Accommodation consists of four self-catering cottages that were originally built in the 1920s but have been renovated while retaining their original foundations and farm-style charm.

Cottage 1 and Cottage 2 are both two-bedroom units that can accommodate up to five guests each. They can also be combined to create a ten-sleeper house. Each unit features a fully equipped kitchen with indoor braai facilities, a living room with a TV offering M-Net and DStv channels, fans, and heaters in each room. Outdoor amenities include a stoep, garden, swimming pool, and outdoor braai facilities.

Cottage 3 and Cottage 4 each have a spacious bedroom with a queen-size bed, a modern bathroom with a bath and shower, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace. Each cottage has a large stoep area with outdoor braai facilities and breathtaking views of the Swartland.

The farm provides soaps, toiletries, towels, and bed linen for each guest. Upon arrival, guests receive freshly baked bread, rusks, butter, jam, milk, coffee, tea, and sugar included in the price. The cottages are disabled-friendly, family-friendly, and offer secure off-street parking. Vleidam Guest Farm also offers agricultural tours.

Nearby attractions include the towns of Moorreesburg, Riebeek-Kasteel, and Misverstand dam, where visitors can swim, ski, canoe, or boat. These towns offer fabulous restaurants, farm stalls, and wine farms within a 10-minute drive from the farm. Guests can also enjoy evenings around the braai pit on their personal front lawn while watching the sunset over the farming meadows.
