Vrede En Lust

Vrede en Lust is a working wine farm located at the foothills of the Simonsberg, in South Africa's renowned Franschhoek wine region. The farm has foundations dating back over 300 years. It offers guests a unique location next to the vineyards, with large oak trees providing ample shade. Visitors can walk, run or cycle through the vineyards all the way to the top of the farm or up into the forests above. The farm is situated in close proximity to the nearby towns of Franschhoek, Paarl, and Stellenbosch, which offer various attractions.

Each accommodation unit at Vrede en Lust is uniquely and individually furnished, featuring a safe for guests' personal belongings. All guests have access to the swimming pool on the premises. The farm also features a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch, as well as a state-of-the-art wine tasting room. Additionally, there is a stunning wedding/function venue that can accommodate up to 140 seated guests, set in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain.

Vrede en Lust is renowned for its breathtaking views and top-class service. Children of all ages are welcome to the farm. The spacious cottage accommodation offers a living room, two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a mini-fridge, and a microwave oven. Each unit is equipped with satellite TV, and all bedrooms are air-conditioned, with lovely fireplaces for cozy winter evenings.
