Vrede Hotel

The Vrede Hotel is situated in the small town of Vrede, in the Free State. It is an ideal accommodation for guests seeking a comfortable stopover, leisure or corporate retreat. The hotel comprises 23 tastefully decorated rooms furnished with either a double bed, king bed or twin beds. These rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, heating, electric blankets, TVs with selected DStv channels, tea and coffee-making facilities, and other amenities.

The hotel offers three beverage outlets on-site: Linger Longer Wine Cellar, AJ's Sports Bar, and The Terrace Deck Cocktail Bar. Arabella's, the hotel's u00e0 la carte restaurant, can accommodate up to 48 guests and serves various delectable meals such as exotic curries, seafood platters, and beef steaks. Meals can also be served on the terrace or thatched lapa area, which is equipped with a braai area.

With an in-house events coordinator, qualified chef, and a staff of 25 members, the Vrede Hotel manages many small and large functions on a daily basis. To provide guests with a complete banqueting or corporate package, the hotel offers horses and carriages, a variety of vintage cars, a 4x4 shuttle bus service, and the use of a nearby farm for photographic or team building purposes. The hotel is fully equipped for all functions and events, from weekend family getaways, intimate wedding receptions, romantic dinners, to business conferences and meetings. The wedding reception venue can accommodate up to 120 guests.

The town's sandstone church is located 300 meters from the hotel. The owner's Friesian equine farm is available for exclusive wedding photography in the horse stable. Romantic packages for couples are available. Deluxe Rooms are furnished with a double bed and feature an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath and shower. These rooms also include air-conditioning, heating, electric blankets, TVs with selected DStv channels, tea and coffee-making facilities, and other luxuries.
