Vredenhof Cottages are situated in the picturesque Robertson Valley, approximately 32 kilometers south of the town of Robertson. The cottages are located in a rugged Riviersonderend backdrop and surrounded by 1000 hectares of open Boland countryside, providing a peaceful escape for urban dwellers. The three recently renovated worker cottages offer a respectable retreat for groups, families with pets, or anyone seeking solitude and rejuvenation.

The cottages are set on a gentle slope, approximately 50 meters apart from each other. They are basic but well-equipped units, offering comfortable and clean accommodations with linen and towels provided. Each cottage features an equipped kitchen, dining and living area, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, and a Dover stove to keep the interior warm during the winter months.

The cottages consist of two bedrooms each, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Additionally, they offer a covered voorstoep with a built-in braai area and soothing views across the farmland and surrounding mountains. For those who enjoy outdoor showers, each cottage has a hot outdoor shower, providing the opportunity to bathe under the stars.

While some may prefer to relax and enjoy endless cups of moerkoffie and sizzling chops on the braai, there are plenty of activities available for those seeking more adventure. A worthwhile and easy stroll leads to a gorgeous kloof near the cottages, and there is a farm dam where children can frolic and fish. Gwarriebos Cottage, one of the three cottages, consists of two rooms, a dining area with a Dover stove, a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, a patio with a braai area, covered parking, and an outdoor shower with a washbasin. One of the rooms in Gwarriebos Cottage is located on the outside, leading directly onto the patio. The bedroom layout includes one double bed in the inside room and two single beds in the outside room.
