Watercolours House is situated in Murdoch Valley, Simon's Town. The guest house stands directly opposite the Indian Ocean and at the very foot of the Simonsberg mountain range. It has uninterrupted views across the warm waters of False Bay and towards the Hottentots Holland mountains.

The guest house comprises four en-suite bedrooms, centered around spacious and luxurious common areas, which include a guest lounge, a breakfast area, a library, and an observation deck. Each bedroom is individually decorated and has sleeping and sitting areas, all with outstanding views. The sea-front gardens are landscaped and indigenous, and include a swimming pool with a view deck, offering arguably one of the best outlooks that the Cape Peninsula has to offer.

Whales, dolphins, seals, and the occasional sea otter regularly pass by the house. The world-famous Boulders Beach penguin colony is within walking distance, and the equally famous Cape Point Nature Reserve is just 15 km down the road.

One of the rooms is a deluxe junior suite upstairs with a bath overlooking the bedroom and the ocean beyond. It also has an en-suite shower. The suite offers uninterrupted sea views and is equipped with satellite TV, a fridge, tea/coffee facilities, a wall safe, and a hairdryer.
