Waterval Guesthouse

The Waterval Guesthouse is situated on a farm located on the outskirts of the town of Machadodorp. The farm premises encompass a campsite and a training center, while the guest houses are positioned on one side, providing guests with privacy. Each guest house comprises two bedrooms, one furnished with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Both bedrooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms.

The guest houses feature an open-plan layout that combines the kitchen and lounge areas, complete with a television. These accommodations are well-suited for self-catering purposes, and guests have access to braai facilities. The farm features a magnificent veranda where visitors can relish scenic views of the surroundings. For those inclined to explore the rolling hills, hiking trails are available.

Nearby, a river offers an ideal spot for a refreshing swim. The lush garden on the premises is adorned with vibrant flowers and well-manicured lawns complemented by shaded tree coverage. Guests have the option to indulge in romantic picnics with a sunset view overlooking a game farm. Additionally, a private bedroom within the main farmhouse is available, featuring a spacious, comfortable, and airy ambiance with a large en-suite bathroom.

Common areas include a shared dining and lounge area equipped with a fireplace and piano. Guests can choose between self-catering in the communal kitchen or arranging for all meals to be provided. Braai facilities are readily available for use. The farm grounds boast rolling lawns leading down to a dam and river with swimming holes surrounded by hills. Hiking and mountain biking trails offer scenic views overlooking the neighboring game farm.

The farm is supplied with natural underground spring water, and pleasant picnic spots are available, with the option of requesting a picnic basket. Additional activities, such as horse riding and trout fishing, can be arranged upon request. Longer-term rates for accommodation can be negotiated.
