Weder Guest House

The Weder Guest House is located in the tranquil town of Genadendal, known as the oldest Mission Station in Africa. Built in 1814, the guest house was originally constructed to serve as a residence for the mission store keeper. It is situated on the historic Werf and offers gracious and comfortable accommodations. Like other buildings on the Werf, this guest house possesses a distinct character, allowing guests to enjoy the peace and tranquility of its immediate surroundings. The Weder Guest House provides various accommodation options to cater to different budgets.

The Mission Museum is a short walking distance from the guest house, featuring 15 exhibition rooms that house unique collections, including the oldest fire engine and pipe organ in the country. The dormitories are equipped with 12 single beds and share separate communal bathrooms for men and women. Additionally, there is a communal kitchen available, which requires advance booking.
