Weltevreden is a historic Karoo sheep farm located in the folds of the Sneeuberg mountains, close to the hamlet of Nieu Bethesda. It offers visitors the opportunity to experience Africa's outback, where they can relax in the wide-open Karoo countryside with panoramic views of Compassberg and the Sneeuberg mountain range.

At Weltevreden, guests can enjoy everyday sheep and cattle farming activities, walks, hikes, tennis on a clay court, a splash pool, sundowner excursions by arrangement, and genuine peace and quiet under the vast night skies. The farm is abundant with bird species, providing excellent birdwatching opportunities, and it also offers opportunities for viewing small game.

Accommodation is available in two self-catering cottages: Cottage on the Pond and The Prison. Weltevreden is situated 56 km from the historic town of Graaff Reinet and 13 km from Nieu Bethesda, the location of Helen Martins' Owl House and the inspiration for Athol Fugard's play "The Road to Mecca". The Cottage on the Pond comprises an open-plan lounge and kitchen, as well as three en-suite rooms, one with a king-size bed and the other two with twin beds. Additional beds can be set up in the main room if needed for children.
