Wheatlands Country House, built in 1912, is a five-bedroom guest house situated on a beautiful Karoo working mohair and wool farm in the heart of the Eastern Cape. It is located approximately 50 km south of the town of Graaff-Reinet. The house features high-pressed ceilings, wood-panelled walls, hand-crafted stained glass windows, book-lined corridors, and antiques that have been collected through generations. It offers exceptionally comfortable accommodation in large, antique-furnished rooms, and delicious food is served in the sizeable dining room.

Guests can relax in a cozy corner with a book and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the house or take a walk in the veld to appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Wheatlands Country House can accommodate up to 10 people in its 5 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have full en-suite bathrooms, and the beds can be configured as either king or twin beds. The remaining three bedrooms have twin beds and share two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath. The large dining room and lounge area feature a fireplace and lead out to a covered verandah and a spacious lawn area. Additionally, there is a fully fitted kitchen with a separate pantry.
