Whipstock Guest Farm is located in the rain shadow of the Sonderend Mountains, on the banks of the Koningsriver. It offers a getaway from the hustle and bustle, preserving a small part of rural South Africa that remains untouched by progress. The farm provides three self-catering and three bed and breakfast cottages, each with its own unique atmosphere and charm. The cottages are equipped with fridges, coffee and tea-making facilities, and fireplaces, reflecting the natural surroundings of beautiful countryside living.

The commons room features a small bar area, though the farm is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own beverages. It also includes a large fireplace, dining room, and a television with full DSTV. Additionally, a variety of board games and a library are available for guests to enjoy.

Whipstock Guest Farm is an ideal destination for adults with children, offering a myriad of activities to keep everyone engaged. The farm features a wonderful dam with clean mountain water for swimming and canoeing, perfect for hotter summer days. The surrounding areas are underdeveloped, lending a rustic charm to the scenery, making it great for walks or mountain bike rides. Short and longer trails have been laid out on the farm, such as the Over the Hills walk and the Valley Walk.

With the farm being far from any development, the night sky is clear, and the stars are incredibly visible, providing an opportunity for stargazing and exploration of another world. The nearby wine estates offer stylish wine-tasting outings, and the historic and artistic town of McGregor is only 7 km away, providing a small store for basics, numerous shops, and restaurants.

Unit 1 features a small lounge with a fireplace and a double bed, as well as a separate alcove with a bunk bed for children.
