The White Lion Lodge is a Karoo Wilderness Retreat located along the tranquil Klein Kalkoenshoek River on the prestigious Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. The reserve encompasses an impressive 54,000 hectares of privately owned land and is situated on the iconic Route 62, located against the Warmwaterberg Mountains. As the closest free-roaming Big 5 reserve to Cape Town, it attracts travelers from around the world to experience a remarkable adventure in the heart of the wild.

The White Lion Lodge itself is a luxurious sanctuary where personalized service and exquisite cuisine create an unforgettable experience. It is located in the southern part of the reserve, along a serene and secluded river valley, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the essence of the Karoo. The lodge offers four individual thatch-roof suites, each designed to provide a sense of tranquility and comfort. The suites feature spacious bedrooms, dressing rooms, full bathrooms, and private outdoor showers. They are equipped with modern amenities such as satellite TV, under-floor heating, air-conditioning, mini bar, fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities.

The bathrooms are a sanctuary of their own, featuring twin hand basins, a spacious bath, a separate rain dance shower, a toilet, and a bidet. The Sanbona Wildlife Reserve itself is home to free-roaming white lions, the Big 5, the riverine rabbit, and numerous other species, spanning an area of 54,000 hectares that includes mountains, gorges, canyons, plains, indigenous flora and fauna, and rock art.
