Wild Dog Guest Lodge

Wild Dog Guest Lodge is a luxurious 4-star establishment situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, a 680-hectare conserved reserve at the foot of the Klein Drakensberg Mountain escarpment between the Blyde River Valley and Kruger National Park.

The lodge operates across two properties within the estate, approximately 2km apart. The Main Lodge features two one-bedroom units (Sable and Nyala Cottages), each accommodating two guests with private entrances, patios, and barbecue areas. These cottages are fully equipped for self-catering and include a swimming pool, licensed bar, and guest lounge. The Akasia Villas property houses two larger units: Shawu Villa (accommodating up to 4 adults and 1 child under 12) and Dzombo Villa (maximum 4 guests), both featuring private barbecue areas and access to a shared pool.

All units are solar-powered and equipped with modern amenities including high-speed WiFi, air-conditioning, and smart TVs with various streaming options. The accommodation is elegantly decorated with modern African touches, offering both self-catering and bed & breakfast options.

The estate's pristine lowveld bush hosts diverse wildlife including impalas, kudus, zebras, waterbucks, giraffes, and wildebeest. Occasional sightings of hyenas, wild dogs, and leopards occur, particularly during nocturnal hours. Guests can enjoy activities such as game drives, cycling within the estate, and wildlife viewing from their private patios.

The lodge serves as an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions including Big 5 Game Reserves, Kruger National Park, the Blyde Canyon, and the Panorama Route. Its location combines the tranquility of bush living with proximity to local amenities and restaurants.
