Wild Olive Country Retreat

Wild Olive Country Retreat is a self-catering secluded guest home located approximately an hour and a half drive from Sandton. It is quietly positioned in the countryside, 12 kilometers from Parys, Free State. The guest home accommodates up to ten guests in five bedrooms, with two bedrooms being en-suite, and three bedrooms sharing a bathroom.

The guest home is fully furnished and features a large garden with braai facilities and an outdoor area where guests can sit around a fire and gaze up into the star-filled night sky. Situated on a working farm that raises Nguni cattle and sheep, this charming home is located along the foothill of the largest wild olive forest in the southern hemisphere, which is within the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site.

Wild Olive Country Retreat is positioned among the natural rock outcrops of the Vredefort Dome and offers delightful picnic spots. It provides sweeping views of the Vaal River and spectacular sunsets down the valley. The retreat is in easy reach of many outdoor activities, such as fly-fishing, birding, bow-hunting, river rafting, golfing at one of two nearby courses, hot-air ballooning, sky diving, zip lining, cycling, and hiking trails.
