Woodcliffe Country House

Woodcliffe Country House is a guest farm located in the Eastern Cape Drakensberg Highlands, 22 kilometers from Maclear on a gravel road. It is situated on a working farm that offers a secluded and uncommercial experience. The property features various outdoor activities, including fly fishing, hiking, bird watching, exploring caves and rock art sites, 4x4 trails, and indigenous forests.

The guest farm provides three accommodation units: a cottage (maximum capacity of 6 guests), Castle View (maximum capacity of 2 guests), and a farmhouse (maximum capacity of 10 guests). There is also a camping area available. A nature guide can be arranged in advance to take guests on tours to discover world-famous rock art and high-altitude orchids.

Woodcliffe Country House offers a tranquil and peaceful environment, being the last inhabited farm before the high Drakensberg. Candle-lit dinners can be arranged with prior notice. The farm is an ideal destination for families, offering scenic surroundings and opportunities for activities such as trout fishing, hiking, swimming, and bird watching, or simply relaxing.

Castle View is a 40-square-meter unit with a full glass frontage and excellent views. It features a king-size bed, a small living area, a kitchenette, and an en-suite bathroom. The unit is equipped with DSTV and a portable braai (firewood is supplied). Castle View is adjacent to the farmhouse.
