Xanske's Place With Wood Fired Hot Tub

Xanske's Place is a family-friendly self-catering holiday house situated just a short distance from the main beach in Kleinmond and within walking distance to the town center. The house is located on the banks of the lagoon at the mouth of the Botriver, on a narrow strip of land surrounded by the Kogelberg mountain range on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Kleinmond is conveniently located within easy driving distance from Cape Town, along the scenic Clarence Drive, also known as the R44 and fondly called the Whale Coast Drive.

Xanske's Place can accommodate up to eight guests and features three bedrooms, along with a comfortable open-plan kitchen and lounge area equipped with DSTV and Wi-Fi (guests need to bring their own decoder and smart card). The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering, including a microwave, stove, oven, fridge, and dishwasher. There is also an indoor braai area for relaxed entertaining. The property features a fenced-in garden with a lovely patio and a boma braai. Additionally, it offers a wood-fired hot tub for guests to relax, with guests required to bring their own wood (a price list can be provided upon booking confirmation).

The main bedroom, located at the far side of the house and dressed in an old-worldly charm, hosts a double bed with a spacious en-suite bathroom/dressing room (shower, toilet, and wash basin). The second double bedroom is comfortably situated at the front of the house, with easy access to the outside entertainment areas. The third bedroom contains two bunk beds in a comfortable space and is safely placed in the middle of the house. A second full bathroom leads off the indoor entertainment area, ensuring everyone has a chance to utilize the facilities.

While there is no garage available, parking is provided behind secured gates. An outside shower is available to wash off beach sand, and a laundry room with a washing machine is on-site to handle any other needs. Visitors to Kleinmond have access to various activities such as river rafting, hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, safe swimming in lagoons, walking, bird watching, exploring rocky tidal pools, and fishing.

Xanske's Place is pet-friendly, but guests must bring their own blankets/beds and dishes for their furry friends, as pets are not allowed on the beds. Visitors can hire canoes for an afternoon of fun on the lagoon, visit the local golf course or Arabella Golf Estate, and explore several arts and crafts gift shops in Harbour Road. The Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and Stoney Point Penguin reserve in Betty's Bay are only a 10-minute drive away, offering an opportunity to support the protection of the environment.
