Zwartberg View Mountain Lodge

Zwartberg View Mountain Lodge is a secluded accommodation situated among the famous red hills of the Western Cape, surrounded by game and nature. It offers magnificent views, glorious sunsets, starry nights without city lights, and excellent cuisine. The lodge provides a rustic, authentic African experience with its setting adjacent to the majestic Swartberg Mountains.

The property features three chalets set on a hillside overlooking the valley, and one cottage located in a dry riverbed. Each chalet has a private deck with armchairs and cushions, decorated in distinct animal themes. The double room chalets are approximately 300m from the restaurant area, while the self-catering Kudu chalet is around 350m away, and the self-catering Zebra chalet is about 50m from the main lodge, where nightly fires are lit for dining and breakfast.

The self-catering cottage is secluded in the river bed, offering privacy with its own fireplace. Guests can choose to join for meals at the main lodge or enjoy the seclusion of the cottage, making it an ideal honeymoon hideaway or family retreat. All chalets and the cottage feature private decks with valley views, tea/coffee stations, en-suite bathrooms with showers, mini-fridges, cooling fans for summer, heaters for winter, and provided bedding and towels.

Relaxing activities available at the lodge include swimming, hiking, reading on the private decks, wildlife watching, and taking in the scenic surroundings. Some chalets are remotely situated in the hills, offering exceptional privacy and views away from other guests and civilization. The Kudu chalet caters to families of all ages, with a safe and secure environment, including a barrier around the viewing deck and swimming pool areas to prevent falls.
