- Timing is everything - The wetlands are seasonal and sometimes dry out completely. Winter brings rain that fills the vlei, creating the postcard-perfect water views seen in photos.
- Bring your own - Remember to pack drinking water, firewood for the hot tub and braai, and basic supplies as the farm functions completely off-grid.
- Sandy beaches are just 5km away, offering a perfect day trip alternative when staying at the farm.
- Winter nights can get very cold - pack accordingly if camping during cooler months.
